Have you ever wondered what the extra hole in your lace-ups was for?

Ankle Lock LacingWatch the video below to find out how to use that extra hole to perform an ankle lace lock.

This can be useful for two reasons:

Heel Slippage

This could be due to an excess fat pad under your heel, or from having an orthotic in your shoe. If you feel as though your heel is going to "pop' out of the back of your shoe - try this technique.

Ankle Instability

If you're prone to ankle sprains, trips or stumbles, this ankle lock technique will give you a more secure fit in your shoes. It is also useful for people who perform a lot of "side-to-side" movements in sport.
